TSUNAMI
Augast 16 to 19, I worked as a volunteer in Miyagi, because I took the volunteer class in my University. When I arrived there, I was shoked. Even though the time has gone, the restoration was delayed. There are a lot of mountain of rubble. Thus the "TSUNAMI" has reduced the town to rubble. Actually almost all people went back to house by themselves, but it was difficult for them to go back to house. I helped people at farm. For example I clean the plastic house. That house was damaged by TSUNAMI. While I working with victims, I thought that I want to help them some more. I think that natural disasters make us recognize their awfulness and also the importance of measures to prevent them. TSUNAMI saddens me as much as if it were my own affair. On the other hand, I decided that I want to work as volunteer more and more.

I think your action is good, because some people have thought that want to help the victims. But it is not easy to act. I think they still need some help.
ReplyDeleteI agree with both of you. It is not easy to push yourself to help others but when you do, it's incredibly rewarding and humbling work. We are always reminded that there are things much bigger than those we have to deal with in our daily lives. Good job for volunteering! It's admirable and I'm sure much appreciated by those in need.
